Solution Focused Therapies
I recently had the incredible opportunity to sit down with Soulfam and discuss my work as a solution-focused therapist. As a therapist, my goal is to help my clients identify and achieve their desired outcomes in a way that is both efficient and effective.
Solution-focused therapy is a unique approach that emphasizes a person’s strengths and resources, rather than their problems or deficits. It’s all about looking forward and identifying solutions to problems, rather than dwelling on the past. This approach can be particularly helpful for individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, and relationship issues.
During our interview, we discussed the many benefits of solution-focused therapy, including its focus on the present and future, its collaborative nature, and its ability to produce quick and lasting results. I also had the opportunity to explain how this approach differs from other therapeutic models, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and psychoanalytic therapy.
